Once you have been diagnosed with a thyroid problem, you must begin by doing a micronutrient test to help you discover what nutrients your cells need to function optimally. I have seen cases where merely treating the deficiency with nutrients, orally or through an IV, has changed a patient’s life. The next step is to talk to your doctor about your treatment and medication options. Discuss botanical and homeopathic medicine choices. Consider Nature-Throid or a desiccated thyroid as a choice of medication, if needed. And yet, sometimes patients may not even need to start with a prescription. If you’re still in the early stages of Hashimoto’s or hypothyroidism, you may want to use my favorite supplement, Thytrophin PMG, just like I did.

Dr. Thacker’s approach to thyroid problems is insightful. I appreciate her holistic approach in explaining how our thyroid is related to several hormones and even our gut health.
